Brand History

EGM began in 2017 as a small Switzerland-based cigar house, founded by Ettore Gabriele Moraschinelli — the initials behind the name. What started as a curated retailer of Cuban cigars slowly earned a loyal following among collectors across Europe.


In 2021, the house took a bolder step: partnering with master blenders in the Dominican Republic's Cibao Valley to create a line entirely its own. Every leaf is grown, aged and rolled totalmente a mano — completely by hand — before resting for a minimum of two years prior to release.


What began as a European house brand has since travelled far beyond it, reaching aficionados across more than twenty countries and, more recently, retailers in the United States — carried by word of mouth rather than volume marketing.

Philosophy

EGM was never built to overpower. In a category that often equates strength with quality, the house pursues something quieter: balance. Most blends are medium-bodied, creamy and unhurried — designed for conversation, not endurance.


This is quiet luxury applied to tobacco — restraint over ornament, substance over spectacle. Every format is made to reward attention rather than demand it, fitting as naturally into a morning ritual as an evening among friends.
